METALLICA's 'St. Anger' Slips To No. 3 On BILLBOARD Chart, Regains Top Spot In Canada

June 25, 2003

METALLICA's "St. Anger" slipped to No. 3 on this week's The Billboard 200 chart with 138,000 copies copies sold, down 225,000 from the week previous. The album has now shifted close to a million copies in the U.S. in less than three full weeks.

In Canada, METALLICA returned to the No. 1 spot after being briefly ousted from the top position on the charts last week by RADIOHEAD, despite selling only 15,500 in its third week of release, well down from the 36,000 copies it sold last week.

In other METALLICA-related news, the band's Belgian performance at Werchter Rock festival this weekend will be broadcast online. Werchter Rock is a four-day event (June 26-29) and METALLICA are scheduled to play on Saturday, June 28 at around 11:00 p.m. The webcast can be found at Skynet.be in the "Rock Werchter Live" section.
